Fire-Rescue responded to structure fire last week

- Sheridan Fire-Rescue Engine 2 arrived on scene at 5:59 p.m. to a single story, single family home presenting a large amount of fire from the attached garage and rear half of the home.
- Engine 2’s crew established a water supply and deployed multiple preconnected hand lines to initiate fire attack, starting on the exterior to keep the fire from spreading to nearby structures.
- When additional resources arrived on scene, crews began making entry inside the structure to extinguish fire and perform a search for occupants or pets.

- Several gardeners gathered earlier this week to learn more about Grow a Little Extra, a program within Wyoming First Lady Jennie Gordon’s Wyoming Hunger Initiative.
- The program is intended to encourage Wyoming’s gardeners to grow extra produce to donate to those in need.
- “It’s not as easy as it looks, especially when you go to the grocery store now and, if it’s healthy for you, it’s going to be $10,” Waller said.
